All change

I’m not sure what is going on with the planets but it is all change for me at the moment.
In just a couple of weeks I will be standing down as Editor of The Knitter. It was in February 2008 that I was asked to join the team who were pitching the idea of The Knitter to the board of Future Publishing.  In January 2009 we launched and haven’t looked back since.  I am so proud of what we have achieved and how high we have set the standards of photography, design and features.  It hasn’t been easy.  For me, working within the confines and structures of such a large organisation have been quite a challenge but I have learned a huge amount.
A lot of my time at the moment is taken up with work on Planet Handmade. We are just a blog until October and  we will then be a membership website.  It is extremely exciting and very very scary.  The team we have working so hard to put this together are truly wonderful.
So what is happening with this blog?  Part of my job at The Knitter was to find new products, review books etc and I really enjoy doing this. So my very own personal blog will now go ahead as the home of my reviews. I would love to know about any new products you know are launching – just get in touch.
